For a prominent publicly traded Indian company, Gulf Equity has researched and identified target companies based on the buyer's criteria. The buyer's acquisition goals were to strengthen a weak business unit by acquiring a strong technology platform and to establish a U.S. presence. The technology was sought to enhance the buyer's ability to monetize large potential markets in their home country.

Gulf Equity's expertise in matching the client's needs with target companies with advanced technology resulted in the buyer pursuing a target within the first two companies which were presented to the buyer. We facilitated introductions and diligent correspondence and exchange of information between the parties.

At the due diligence stage, Gulf Equity assisted the buyer's M&A team in developing an analysis of valuation multipliers of the target company. Using peer company data, benchmark multiples were calculated and used to arrive at a fair market value range of the target company.
